Recycling
The Elizabeth Lofts provides recycling containers for compost, batteries, light bulbs, glass, and paper products. We vigorously enforce the proper use of these options. Also offered throughout the year are electronics and paper shredding options for recycling for both the building management and residents alike.
Recycling requires a willingness to separate materials that can be recovered for further use from trash that must be placed in a landfill, and the knowledge to understand which is which. These posters should help:

Metal, Paper, Plastic:
Be sure to flatten all boxes!
Glass:
Remember — bags are not permitted in the glass recycling bins!
Rubbish Chutes:
Be sure to BAG ALL TRASH destined for a drop down our hallway chutes.
Batteries:
Batteries can be recycled — use the special containers in the recycling room on each floor. Be sure to put tape on each end of the batteries to prevent sparking in the containers while awaiting recycling pickup.
Fluorescent Bulbs:
Fluorescent bulbs must be recycled — use the special containers in the recycling room on each floor.
